These days, everyone could use a little extra cash. People are resorting to pretty extreme methods to accomplish this, and are often falling victim to online scams. The Illinois Insitute of Chicago robbed me blind. I went to their school for two years and had not a single credit to show for it. Therefore, I am almost finished with getting an Associates in Visual Communications at some small college in Illinois somewhere. In a place that I’m not too fond of.
Because of the situation with the Art Institute (which I might talk about later in more detail), I have to be frugal with my money. That doesn’t bother me though. I’ve always loved to thrift shop, but it’s almost necessary as a college student. My love for thrift started as a way to look cool. For some reason, thrift shopping had it’s own following of high school hipsters. Since that phase in my life, I’ve loved thrift shopping.
I can say that when I lived in Chicago or Indianapolis, the thrift was much more hip. Here where I live, I attend flea markets and craft fairs to get my thrift shopping fix. That’s basically what this blog is about. My wierd finds, love for art, running my business, uncomfortable interactions with seniors at craft fairs, and my quest to graduate college.
